CONTRIVE To Support DEVIN TOWNSEND In Australia

Melbourne, Australia trio CONTRIVE will support Canadian musician/producer Devin Townsend (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, STEVE VAI, LAMB OF GOD, DARKEST HOUR, GWAR) on his tour of Australia in March.

Devin handled the mixing duties on CONTRIVE's forthcoming second album, "The Internal Dialogue", in August 2009, with drummer Andrew Haug sitting in on the process at Studio D in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Commented Devin Townsend: "I've known the Haug brothers for some time, and I have to say that this record is leagues ahead of their previous material, which was already great. They've got a cool message and a sense of dynamics on this album which I think will give people the cause to take notice. Organic and honest.

"I'm happy to have been involved with some really great music."

CONTRIVE is currently shopping the CD around to various labels to secure a deal for its release.

Andrew Haug has been hosting Triple J's weekly national metal program "The Racket" (formerly "Full Metal Racket") since 2001. He is a longtime metalhead who has conducted interviews with such greats as METALLICA, TOOL, PANTERA, SLAYER, OZZY OSBOURNE and more.
